Angela Gracie Gazio was born and raised in the Gracie family. The daughter of Roseclair Gracie and Granddaughter of Grandmaster Carlos Gracie.

Angela grew up in Rio de Janeiro and spent part of her childhood in Fortaleza, North of Brazil. From the early days Angela spent time as a child living with both the Gracie and the Gazio families. Both sides of her families are champions. The Gracie family and the Gazio family. Angela’s father Abel Ely Gazio was a swimmer, diver and an underwater sports fisherman that represented Brazil in national and international competitions.

At the age of 16 Angela started doing  modeling jobs and by the age of 17 she was working with the biggest magazines, advertisers, and photographers from Rio de Janeiro and Sao Paulo. Angela moved to Paris and  traveled around Europe, Japan and the USA modeling. The travel and modeling opened Angela’s eyes to a wealth of different cultures and cuisines as she learned and experienced foods from around the World.

At age 22 Angela had returned to the USA where she married Jason Izaguirre. The couple had a daughter, Karmen Izaguirre, and the family then moved to Hawaii where they lived for 15 years. In Hawaii Angela’s passion for cooking and food were expanded even more as she experienced the Polynesian/Hawaiian cuisine. After 15 years in Hawaii, Angela remarried and moved to Australia with her husband Luke Beston and has been living there ever since. Cooking has always been a passion for Angela as she explains: “Cooking has always been something that I loved to do, and the reason for that is because I love to eat good food”.

At age 22 Angela had returned to the USA where she married and had a daughter with Jason Izaguirre. Today I enjoy my life, raising my daughter, working with my husband, training Jiu Jitsu and the achievements of my first book.

I am currently working on more delicios and healthy recipes for the second edition of a recipe book, based on the Gracie diet.
